· コロナ禍の2021年1月頃、母国タイにおいて、水産動物飼料およびペットフードのOEM生産工場を運営する企業の業務をお手伝いする機会をいただきました。当時は本業であるペットフード関連ではなく、コンサルティング業務に携わっておりましたが、4年ほど経った頃、ふと20代の留学生時代にアパートで飼っていた愛猫「まいこ」のことを思い出しました。そこで当時の写真（35mmネガフィルム）を探し出してプリントしてみたところ、懐かしさとともに、もう一度猫を飼いたいという思いが強まりました。
その思いを胸に、2026年2月頃、母国タイへ渡り、水産動物飼料工場およびペットフード工場を見学いたしました。いずれの工場も、欧米はもちろん、日本の大手ペットフード販売会社にもOEMとして製品を供給している企業です。
そして、ちょうどよいタイミングで「インターペット東京2026」の開催を知り、4月3日に訪問します。日本最大級のペット産業国際見本市で、ペットと人の暮らしをより豊かにする業界の皆さまと交流しながら、ここから新たな一歩を踏み出したいと考えております。

In early 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic, I had the opportunity to assist with operations at a company in my home country of Thailand that manufactures OEM aquafeed and pet food. At that time, my role involved consulting work unrelated to their core pet food business. About four years later, I suddenly recalled my beloved cat "Maiko," whom I had kept in my apartment during my student days in my 20s. I located some old photos (35mm negative film), had them printed, and felt a surge of nostalgia along with a strong desire to own a cat again.
To pursue this, in February 2026, I traveled back to Thailand to tour their aquafeed and pet food factories. These facilities supply products via OEM to major pet food retailers in Europe and the United States, as well as prominent Japanese companies.
At just the right moment, I learned of Interpets Tokyo 2026 and plan to attend on April 3. At this leading international pet industry trade show, I look forward to connecting with professionals and taking the first step toward enriching lives for both pets and people.
